Asset Overview

Shackleford Mounds are dated to the early Coles Creek period or about 400-700 CE. Check out a photogrammetric model of the site [here](https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/shackleford-mounds-a67a0c35d7414e5ca738a82aaa3052aa). "Shackleford is a ceremonial site with 4 mounds that date to about AD 800. Three of the mounds are 3 feet tall or less. However, the large platform mount is over 13 feet tall and is the best-preserved part of the site. It was constructed in several episodes on top of a prepared surface of sand." LACRT
