Hand-Painted Cormorant

I started this project in order to practice my hand-painting skills as well as some more organic modelling. I used Zbrush, Blender and Substance Painter. I wanted to keep a painterly look, pairing rough brushstrokes and higher detail areas, to create a semi-stylized piece :) Cormorants are very striking birds and I hope you like my take on this one! 'In China, tame cormorants are used by fishermen as a traditional method of catching fish. A snare is tied around the bird's throat to stop it swallowing bigger fish (although it can still eat small ones), which are then spit up for the fishermen.' (www.wildlifetrusts.org)
