The Cumbre Cipreses Natural Park seeks to protect the flora, fauna as well as the cultural heritage of deep Patagonia, through management, sustainable tourism and environmental education. It is in Valle Exploradores, Aysén Region, in front of Campos de Hielo Norte, the third largest ice body in the southern hemisphere. The property extends for 1,352 ha. where plains, forests and deciduous and evergreen shrubs are protected. Currently the park is in search of resources to enable infrastructure for tourism and environmental education, and implement a Derecho Real de Conservación (Conservation agreement) that will guarantee the protection of natural heritage in perpetuity.
