A terrestiral laser scan of a large (125 cm diameter) yellow tulip poplar tree in central Virginia, USA.
The tree is located just west of the University of Virginia on Observatory Hill.
The laser scanner used here was the Faro Focus 1203D and the tree was used in a study developing non-destructive biomass allometry for improved carbon accounting.
