A Kalashnikov assault rifle, folding, 1974, shortened. Popularly known as "Ksyukha".
The name suggests that this is a shortened version of the Kalashnikov folding assault rifle chambered for 5.45x39mm.
In fact, it is a small-sized assault rifle* designed for drivers/tankers, mechanics, medics and others.
It is also the basis for a lot of junk (as well as the basis for a conventional AK), the existence of which requires explanations that we will never hear.
