This is a hand-finished, mass-produced terracotta capital from the Peck-Norton-Murray Building in downtown Sioux Falls. It is one of four nearly identical capitals atop brick pillars in two arched doorways.
I decided to model a different capital from the same building with less damage and more detail. I used 80 photos to capture as much of the capital as possible. After modeling it, I trimmed away everything to focus on the capital.
This link shows the overall building and gives a brief history: https://goo.gl/W8SxBa
