Asset Overview
A carved figure in St.Bartholomew's church, Somerset, UK. This is on the East side of the North column of the chancel arch. I've tagged it as a Green Man, but I have doubts about this. Some descriptions say that the church has two Green Men (here is a model of the other one: https://skfb.ly/6RBWV). But, for me, this is a much more interesting figure: ornate headdress, splendid buckled boot and doublet. The pose and foreshortening (needed to view that boot) are really sophisticated, and the details are beautifully carved. The facial features could even be exotic. The side nearest the archway may have been damaged, but much more sympathetically than the Green Man on the opposite column. The model was created in Meshroom (and tidied in Meshlab) from around 30 photos taken on 30 December 2019.
