Asset Overview
Casa Batlló Listen is a modernist building designed by the architect Antoni Gaudí, leader of this movement, from 1904 to 1906. It is located in Illa de la Discòrdia, at 43 Passeig de Gràcia in Barcelona.
The building was commissioned by Josep Batlló i Casanovas, a textile industrialist. The most famous part of the building is the façade, considered one of the architect's most original, which used stone, wrought iron, glass trencadis and polychrome ceramics; Gaudí was assisted by the architects Josep Maria Jujol and Joan Rubió i Bellver.
The building, which is on the UNESCO World Heritage List, is open to the public and receives hundreds of thousands of visitors annually.
