Asset Overview
The Chapel of Santísimo Cristo de la Misericordia, located at the ambulatory of the Cathedral of Sigüenza (Spain), dates from the end of the 15th century, although both the entrance gate and the altar that presides over the chapel are from the XVII century. Inside the chapel there is a polychrome wood carving of the Crucifixion of Christ dated at the end of the 16th century (around 1599). The recent restoration of this sculpture has revealed its artistic quality, especially the anatomical study.
