Asset Overview
This is a 3D scan of the St. Petrikirche located in Chemnitz made from 600 Pictures @ 20MP.
Main topic of this scan was to find out about the new visibility consistent reconstruction implemented by Agisoft in Photoscan Version 1.4.0.
It turnes out to be a quite good choice in therms of performance and quality, because you dont have to create a dense point cloud for building mesh. But there is a downside (hopefully only at the moment):
Reconstructing Mesh in Ultra High quality leads to an unexpexted memory error at some line in the code. Also the RAM gets heavy used in High quality. This Model resulted in 14 mio. Surfaces, and used almost 64 GB RAM!
