Asset Overview
Chiva are monuments with archaeological, historical, social and economical values. They are spread all over Kathmandu valley in thousands. Promotion and preservation is the need of time. Chiva Chaitya Organization with the support and engagement of local communities and WMF(World Monuments Fund) is carrying out restoration works of at risk Chivas. This Chiva at Dallu, during road maintenance the Chiva was half buried. This was the classical example of encroachment and lack of awareness on development agencies. Now with the decision and help of local communities, the Chiva was salvaged by raising above the current road level.
