Asset Overview

The [École normale supérieure](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%89cole_normale_sup%C3%A9rieure_(Paris)) (ENS) is one of the most prestigious and selective grandes écoles in Paris, France. Founded in 1794, it was intended to provide the Republic with a new body of professors, trained in the critical spirit and secular values of the Enlightenment. The Cour aux Ernest (Nicknamed "Courô"), built in 1841, is the central courtyard and prominent meeting place for the students. The "Ernests“ are the goldfish living in the central bassin (from the name of Director Ernest Bersot (1871-1880). 📍 [École Normale Supérieure - PSL, Paris, Île-de-France, France](https://scaniver.se/L48.84189,2.34485) ![](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/f/fa/Cour_aux_Ernests_%C3%A0_l%27ENS.jpg/1599px-Cour_aux_Ernests_%C3%A0_l%27ENS.jpg) Scanned with the iPhone12 Pro and Scaniverse.
