West Java is one of the provinces of Indonesia which is located in the west of Java Island and is inhabited by the majority of the Sundanese.
The Sundanese people have their own culture which consists of language, norms, rules, traditional ceremonies, dances, customs, to the typical architecture of the house.
One of the traditional houses of the Sundanese of West Java is Imah Badak Heuay which means the house of a yawning rhino. Imah Badak Heuay is a type of house on stilts typical of the Sundanese. A house on stilts is a house that is built on a pole and the base does not touch the ground.
