Asset Overview

Inscribed red granite door-jamb from Hierakonpolis containing the Horus name of Kasekhemwy on one surface. On the other surface is the earliest depiction of the pedjed shes (pD Ss) or 'stretching the cord' ceremony. This ceremony is conducted to layout the beginnings of a new building. Object Currently in the Egyptian Museum, Cairo (JE33896). Created from 68 photographs (Canon EOS Rebel T7i) using Metashape 1.6.1. Photographed in January 2020
