Asset Overview

This is a 3D model of a replica of the leaning tower of Pisa! This famous torre illustrates the most popular and characteristic monument of Pisa and I got it as a souvenir, when I visited Italy. This 3D model is a project built within the course of “Digitization Technologies, Techniques and Applications”. Leaning Tower of Pisa, alternatively “Italian Torre Pendente di Pisa” is a medieval freestanding bell tower, of the cathedral of the Italian city of Pisa, famous for the settling of its foundations, which caused it to lean 5.5 degrees (about 15 feet [4.5 metres]) from the perpendicular in the late 20th century. Extensive work was subsequently done to straighten the tower, and its lean was ultimately reduced to less than 4.0 degrees. The tower is included in the Piazza del Duomo UNESCO World Heritage Site, which was declared in 1987. Today, it is one of the most touristic attractions in Italy and a great site to take creative pictures. Source: https://www.britannica.com/topic/Leaning-Tower-of-Pisa
