Asset Overview

Carved stone lintel with carving of Agnus Domini. Via Voltarella, Arcidosso. Related with San Leonardo church, this symbol on a 14th century lintel, possibly indicates that the building was used as an hospital or as a charity place. The decoration has been associated to the medieval hospital "Spedale De Trabe Donati" documented in the 13th c., although archaeological analysis did not confirm the dating. With reference to the stratigraphy of the architectural complex centered on San Leonardo church, this carved stone is more correctly dated to the first half of 14th c. [source: M. De Falco, 2004-2005, ref. APC1, usm 106] Model was created in Reality Capture using 126 photographs. The Mt. Amiata Project is an ongoing GDH collaboration involving faculty and students at the University of Florence and the University of Siena. We could not have done this project without the considerable support of the Municipality of Arcidosso
