Asset Overview
Chiva are monuments with archaeological, historical, social and economical values. They are spread all over Kathmandu valley in thousands. Promotion and preservation is the need of time. Chiva Chaitya Organization with the engagement of local communities and the support from WMF(World Monuments Fund) is carrying out restoration works of at risk Chivas. This is one Chiva damaged due to trees growing from inside. The Chiva has been restored carefully removing the tree and restoring using exisitng terracota and lime mortar.
