Asset Overview

This is the Mary Worthington Macomb House located near the intersection of South Paint Street and East 11th Street in Chillicothe, Ohio. (Lat 39.32216,Long -82.9799) A quick Google search will show that the house was built sometime between 1813 and 1815, but it is possible that the house is older than that, possibly even being built prior to 1800. Either way, this is one of the oldest standing buildings in Ohio. The house was bought by Ohio's sixth governor, Thomas Worthington, in 1815 and later occupied by his daughter Mary. The stone construction of the Macomb House, while more crude, resembles the stone construction of Worthington's house, the Adena Mansion. The goal is to rehabilitate the old house, and this model will hopefully help with the restoration. But, if for whatever reason, the house is not restored and eventually demolished, this model will preserve the look and feel of the house better than any photograph or video.
