Asset Overview

This is a very quick project I made, I wanted to model something in about an hour or less and focus on photo realistic rendering. I've been playing around with blender 2.8 recently and now that I've learned more about it I've really been able to produce high quality results with minimal effort using its cycles rendering. Here is the render in Blender https://www.artstation.com/artwork/R3Ke1E To achieve a similar photo real look in Sketchfab I focused on adjusting the materials to get the same look in Sketchfab that I had in Blender while maintaining a proper PBR workflow. I used Substance Designer and Photoshop to create the materials, and made minor adjustments to the roughness map in Sketchfab. This combined with a custom HDRI for the background and lighting made for a pretty good approximation. I got this HDRI from https://hdrihaven.com/ which allows for free downloads of a ton of HDRI's. Finally I used Sketchfab's Screen Space reflections, grain, and Depth of Field to emulate a photographic look.
