Phanagoria Scientific Center

**Научный центр Фанагорийской археологической экспедиции Института археологии РАН.** Располагается у древнегреческого города Фанагория на Таманском полуострове, на окраине нынешнего поселка Сенного Темрюкского района Краснодарского края. Фанагория была основана древними греками в VI в до н.э. и была одной из столиц Боспорского царства. Позже входила в состав Византии и Хазарского каганата, пока не была заброшена в X веке н.э. Phanagoria was founded by the ancient Greeks in the VI century BC and was one of the capitals of the Bosporan kingdom.
