Package Overview

Twin Peaks Oval Race Complex is cartoon style race track and is hosting races, test days and practice sessions for Retro Cartoon Cars (not included). It has 20 garages, supports 2 starting grids, both clock wise and counter-clock wise. Thanks to the oval design with road course in the middle, this race track can have at least 16 different variations for each direction.



I have made this asset free, so you can use it as test facility for my cars, or to help you decide if you want to purchase my other paid race tracks. If you are looking at my paid race circuits, but don't know if your target platform can handle it, use this model for benchmarks. To replicate some of my more detailed tracks, you can duplicate the geometry to match the vertex count. And you can always contact me for more questions and support.

This asset is a pre-built race track, and comes with many "standalone" objects you can use.



Basic workflow description:



You can assemble a complete race track within few minutes by dragging and dropping a set of prefabs into your scene. Those are:


* Terrain object prefab (road, grass, gravel, mountains)


* Tree prefab


* Garages


* Walls


* Barriers


* Spectator seats


* Banners


* And many other track side things...



After placing the pre-built track components you can easily turn off some of them if you want to customize or optimize your scene. To create a track layout, just disable mesh renderer for unnecessary lines on the road, place some traffic cones and walls, and you have a track layout!


Additionally, you can place individual object prefabs to further change the appearance of the environment.

What are the benefits of using this asset?



1. Ease of use. You don't have to spend hours sticking together straights and corners to make a race track. All you have to do is drag 16 prefabs into an empty scene, and you have a cool looking cartoon track with road, grass, mountains, trees, garages, walls and everything else you might need. All what's left is to place your vehicle prefab and start testing.


2. Safety. If you have a scene with track built from separate elements, there is always possibility to corrupt the scene file, or run into compability issues after upgrading engine. If you lose your scene file, all your hard work is lost. With this pre-built modular asset, you will always have complete track after just a few minutes of work.


3. Countless layout options. Thanks to the oval design and road section in the middle, this asset gives you many, many layout options. You can run the races in both directions, and you can set up at least 16 configurations for each direction. You can build a whole cartoon game just with this asset alone!


4. Separate objects. If you don't like the trackside object placement of default track, it's easy to turn off the elements, and place trees, walls, garages and everything else as you see fit. The limit is only your imagination.

ATTENTION! This model is not meant to represent real world track. Size is scaled down to be used with my cartoon style cars. Elevations are not accurate and are changed to suit cartoon style better. Cartoon style track main oval length is 1431 meters, average width 15 meters.
