Rumah Gadang

Rumah Gadang is a traditional house of the Minangkabau tribe. According to its shape, this traditional house is called a Rumah Gonjong or a Rumah Bagonjong (a gonjong house), because of the shape of the roof that has a spiky ridge. If according to size, depending on the number of it's Lanjar ( segment from front to back). Meanwhile, a room that is lined up from left to right is called a room. A house with two rows is called Lipek Pandan (fold pandan). Generally, pandanus lipek uses two gonjong. The three-lane house is called balah bubuang (split ridge). The roof is slanted four. While the four berlanjar called maharam elephant (elephant sunset). Usually Maharam elephants wear six or more gonjongs.
