Asset Overview

Crown Hall is one of 20 buildings designed by Mies van der Rohe for the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) in Chicago. And it forms the centerpiece of a master plan for the campus, founded in 1940, which brings together the largest concentration of Mies' works in the world. The building is located practically in the center of the campus, located in downtown Chicago, close to the subway station and main parking lot. Mies chose a strategic location within the university city as he envisioned it as a prominent building. Crown Hall is located at one end of the main axis of the campus and backs up this road, configuring it as a gateway to the campus and not a point of arrival. This is a mix between this model (https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model/aab3ed526087c5e4fdcc9a21bbe62320/CROWN-HALL), this model (https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model/uccee08ca-3998-4b7c-9465-5576fd4e3e91/Crown-Hall) and with additions, so I think this is the most complete model of this building.
