Asset Overview
About the monument:
This model represent a church from the 15th Century, located in Santimbru, Alba county, Romania.
The current Gothic style church replaced an earlier (13th Century) Romanesque style church, destroyed in a battle with the Otoman Turks, in 1442. Rebuilt after the battle by John Hunyadi (Ioan de Hunedoara) as a Late Gothic style church it now served the Magyar community of the village. The tower is a later addition.
About the 3D model:
First, the model was [captured](https://skfb.ly/66zuW) by [Calin Suteu](https://sketchfab.com/calinsuteu) with photogrammetry from a total of 431 photos. In the initial state it had 30Gb, and it had to be decimated at one milion faces to be published here. After that, I made the reconstruction of the 3D capture as a low poly mesh (under 161k faces).
