Asset Overview

The current Mula castle was built in the 16th century on the remains of the old medieval Islamic castle. Still today a great part of the wall that protected this site in Muslim time is preserved thanks to it being reused after the Christian conquest. However, the current castle is the work of Pedro Fajardo y Chacón, I Marqués de los Vélez, who after the popular revolts of 1520 against him, decided to show his power to the town of Mula through the construction of this fortress. That explains the existence in the walls of the castle of up to nine coats of arms belonging to the Fajardo and Silva family. This model was processed in RealityCapture from 1653 images from a DJI Phantom 4 Pro.
