Asset Overview

"Fountain of the Sea Horses" resides in the Philadelphia Museum of Art's Fairmount Park. This sculpture is a replica of the one in the Borghese Gardens in Rome, c.1740, attributed to Christopher Unterberger and Vincenzo Pacetti. The fountain was a gift of the Italian government to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the US in 1926. It was recently restored in 2013.
