Asset Overview
In the sustainable cities of the future, a new form of synthetic ecology has evolved parallel to human urbanization. In response to the pressing needs of post-consumer waste collection and processing, municipal governments have long ago fielded succesive generations of increasingly sophisticated autonomous robots, tasked with collecting, processing, and re-commoditizing waste materials. This new ecology exists to mirror the natural processes of scavanging and repurposing that existed in the natural world, but primarily for synthetic materials such as polymer, specialized mettalic alloys, and synthsteel parts and scrap.
This scrap shack is one of the more established hubs of waste collection in this part of the city, and the workers are skilled professionals. It historically dealt mostly with plastic, but has many years ago branched out into other materials as local recycling infrastructure developed and demand increased. It's the first step in the process for materials brought in to be recycled.
