Asset Overview

This wheelchair lift is powered by a computerized mechanism that can be powered for uphill & downhill wheelchair transport. Both uphill & downhill transport is made possible by an extended-out bar that supports the wheelchair in pursuit. Within this bar, there are two support systems that permit. First, there is an adhesive patch angled in a normalized position to the gradient that effectively holds the wheelchairs back in pursuit. Second, there is a hook, attached to the bottom, that retracts to grab the wheelchair. As these holding mechanisms are in check, a motor propels the wheelchair upwards & downwards. In efforts to ensure the holding mechanism is relatively tight, rail-equipped proximity sensors detect how far the wheelchair is from the rail. If it exceeds or it comes too close, the adhesive force is enhanced and the retracting hook is restrained to a tighter extent.
