Asset Overview

A modern wooden book sculpture and lending library in a park (Parco del Pero) in Arcidosso, Grossetto, Tuscany. Created by the roman artist Andrea Gandini in April 2019, is a "little free library" made in an old tree. On the top there are four books: the Divina Commedia, the Lilttle Prince and Karamazov Brothers books. Model was created in Reality Capture using 534 photographs. The Mt. Amiata Project is an ongoing GDH collaboration involving faculty and students at the University of Florence and the University of Siena. We could not have done this project without the considerable support of the Municipality of Arcidosso.
