Asset Overview
This is a 3D model of an ancient marble statue in the Vatican Museum. Here, we see Aphrodite preparing for her bath. This statue is thought to be one of dozens of Roman versions of a famous sculpture by Praxiteles (we cannot be sure of the original's appearance; there are many variants that hint at the original). The original was an object of worship, noted for being the first female nude form in a devotional context. Later copies were created for decoration.
