Asset Overview
Medieval graffiti from Calatrava la Vieja, Castilla-La Mancha, Spain. Late medieval Christian period (15th century CE). They were discovered in 1984, during the excavation works carried out under the direction of the architect Miguel Fisac. They are located in the crypt of the Santa María La Blanca Church, inside the alcazar, and were made with a sharp object in the plaster of the south wall of the crypt. They represent five-pointed stars, geometric forms, and several groups of parallel lines.
