Asset Overview

A stone water trough below Western Beacon on Dartmoor, England used for livestock. Water came from a small reservoir a little way above. Now seemingly fed by groundwater. The inscription reads: *unreadable* AS MADE BY MR JOHN WIDDICOMBE OF TORRHILL WITH THE CONSENT OF W.P.CAREW.BART. [LORD OF THE MANOR.] FOR THE USE OF STOCK DEPASTURED ON THE MOOR.
