**260-275R675-690 block, first view during excavation** Location: Wall site (31Or11), Orange County, North Carolina. Period: Late Woodland (AD 1500-1600). Dimensions: length, 15.00 ft (4.57 m) north-south; width, 15.00 ft (4.57 m) east-west. Notes: A 15x15-ft block along Eno River at south edge of the Wall site, excavated by the Research Laboratories of Archaeology, University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, in 2016. Three 5x5-ft units (Squares 260R680, 260R685, and 265R680) are excavated to base of plowed soil; the fourth unit (Square 265R685), originally excavated in 2015, has been cleaned of backfill. Plowed soil is being excavated from Square 265R690. Model by Steve Davis.
