Asset Overview
The 8mm Scharfe Patrone M1893 was the standard issue fully powered cartridge during the First World War. It was Austria-Hungary's first fully smokeless powder cartridge, but by by the time of the first world war it was already outdated, rendered obsolete after Spitzer rounds have been introduced. After the war close to all Mannlicher M95's and derivatives still in service will be rechambered to the 8×56mmR Spitzer cartridge.
