Asset Overview
Walking in Terracina (Italy) in Piazza Municipio means reliving the atmospheres of a true Roman forum. The stone paving, dating back to the Augustea age, is still intact and along its original central axis the inscription “A. Aemilius Auli f. stravit “, or” Aulus Emilio, son of Aulus, has paved “. A kind of signing, in short, the Roman magistrate who financed the paving of the forum. It is bordered to the north by a paved tract in a different way: it is of the ancient Appian Way, which cut the city in all its length and that after the square it goes to disappear under the medieval buildings.
