Asset Overview

The presented cardboard packaging for medicines from 1913 was produced by Fabryka Pudełek Pacanowski Jan (Jan Pacanowski’s Box Factory) located at 20 Grzegórzecka Street in Kraków. The box comes from the “Pod Koroną” pharmacy, which operated on the Main Square in Kraków. It consists of two parts: the part for storing medicines and the lid with a decorative label. At the top of the label, the pharmacy’s emblem is placed: a golden crown held up by two angels. An inscription around it says: “Apteka pod Koroną w Krakowie. Fr.(anciszka) Ksaw.(erego) Mikuckiego” (Franciszek Ksawery Mikucki’s The Crown Pharmacy in Kraków).
