The 3D model presents a digital reconstruction of a scabbard chape found in Vimose, Denmark.
Date: 2nd –3rd century AD.
Description: Scabbard chape with a flat front containing a small central boss shape. The sides of the chape are straight (i.e. they make fairly sharp corners with the front and back). Both front and back of the chape have an arch-shape at the top, possibly a rudiment of the volute-shape. The chape is made from ivory. Width c. 82 mm; height c. 76 mm.
