Asset Overview
This is a type of sphere projection where for each vertex, if you draw a ray passing throught it and the center of the sphere, then the new vertex will be where the ray intersects with a flat plane directly on top of the sphere. So if the sphere's vertical coordinate was 0 and the radius was 1, the plane's vertical coordinate would be at 1. This os not useful for mapping the earth, but it is useful when visualizing polyternion rotation in high dimentional space (of greater than 3).
