Asset Overview
A idealised reconstruction of one of the earliest finds of smeltedt iron in the near east.
The dagger was found at Alaca Höyük (current southern turkey) in grave K an dated around 2400 -2300 BC. That is roughly 1300 years before the beginning of the iron Age.
This reconstruction is based on pictures published online and is very simplyfied. The golden parts of the sheath for example is mirrored and not as irregular formed as the original one.
