Asset Overview
Happy New Year everyone! This leaf is based on a set of Roman-period amber laurel leaves from between the 1st and 3rd Century CE, found in Aquilea, Italy. The acronym on the leaf, "AN.N.F.F.", stands for "Annum Novum Faustum Felicem" - which translates to "Have a Prosperous and Happy New Year". The original leaves are currently on display at the Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Aquileia (@MuseoAquileia on Twitter). An image of the originals can be seen here: https://twitter.com/PatrimonioFVG/status/947408669393784832
The leave was made procedurally in Substance Designer, then brought in to blender where I displaced and mirrored a subdivided plane. The mesh is manifold, so it should be 3D-printable (I haven't tried it yet though!).
