Decorative antefix from Parthenon's roof in the form of a thirteen petal palmette. The tendril rises from the centre between two big spirals that rest on a low base. Parthenon’s roof was covered with 8,957 marble tiles out of which 130 ended in decorative antefixes placed along the outermost edges of the temple’s long flanks.
