Anton Wildgans monument in the 3rd district of Vienna. The bust of the poet was made by Alfons Riedel and unveiled on September 19, 1928. During the Second World War, the monument was severely damaged, restored in 1949 and reinstalled in 1951.
Anton Wildgans (1881-1932) was an Austrian lyricist and playwright. He was twice director of the Vienna Burgtheater and nominated for the Nobel Prize for Literature.
