Asset Overview
These are six Decopunk props: a robot dog, a portable Victrola (record player), a pair of headphones, a fountain pen, a jewelry cuff, and a Galileo clock. The clock is based off of real-life Galileo barometers, only is designed to tell time instead of weather. All of these props belong to a retired airship captain of great reknown. The color scheme is a split complementary comprised of rose, teal, and gold.
This was a difficult project for me, as you can probably guess from the fact that most of the models aren't even textured, but I did learn a lot from it. Probably the greatest lesson I got from this project is to stop trying to make the models impossibly perfect. I simply didn't have time to finish these props to the extent I wanted too. My ambitions were far too big for a four-week project. This an entire term was a quest for simplifiying my models down to make them possible in the amount of time available.
I really love these props and would like to return to them once I've mastered Maya better.
