Asset Overview

Meet Ava: this is the 4,000 year old skull of a Bronze Age woman. Ava was buried in a Bronze Age rock-cut stone lined pit in the early Bronze Age. Her burial was discovered in 1987 during road improvement works and was excavated by archaeologists from the Highland Council. 30 years later a research project has been set up to discover more about her life, and her subsequent death.
