Asset Overview
The Battle of Barra was fought on May 23rd 1308, Oldmeldrum, Scotland. The army of King Robert the Bruce routed that of John Comyn Earl of Buchan. The battle reportedly took place on the lower slopes of Barra Hill and Robert the Bruce who was ill at the time watched the battle whilst sitting on this stone which was then positioned higher up the hill.
