Asset Overview

Reconstruction of a Bronze Age Rapier, dating to the middle Bronze Age (1700-1200BC), recovered during the excavation of a Burial Cairn at Cloburn Quarry, Swaites Hill, South Lanarkshire. As well as the rapier, found by the site director Douglas Gordon, three cremation burials and two urns were also identified.
