Asset Overview

A large bi-vallate hillfort in Co. Wicklow, Ireland. Brusselstown Ring is one of none large hilltop enclosures surrounding the town of Baltinglass. Recent survey and excavation by O'Brien and O'Driscoll (2017) have revealed that these sites form a palimpsest enclosures dating from the Early Neolithic to Late Bronze Age. Brusselstown Ring has not yet been dated and could belong to any of these periods. Survey has revealed nearly 300 hut structures within the fort.
