Asset Overview

Calvary in stone formed by three crosses belonging to the Via Crucis (Stations of the Cross) of Albendiego. The construction of Via Crucis in stone became popular in Spain from the 16th century. They were composed of 14 stations (stops). Each of them referred to the different moments lived by Jesus of Nazareth from his arrest until his crucifixion and burial. Station number 12 referred to the death of Jesus on the cross on Mount Calvary, so it is always represented by 3 crosses. The rest of the stations are usually represented by a single cross. The Via Crucis allow christians to remember the Passion of Jesus Christ. We want to publicly thank the collaboration of the Diocesan Delegation of Cultural Heritage of Guadalajara, especially by its cultural delegate Mr. Miguel Ángel Ortega Canales. This model was created from 74 images processed in RealityCapture and Meshlab.
