**Draft of the seated figure of the German mathematician and physicist Carl Friedrich Gauss.**
The figure was planted on the Potsdamer Brücke in Berlin. In 1942, the bronze figure was melted down.
Part of the sculpture collection at the city museum of Berlin, Germany. The collection consists of 3.000 objects of which a third are portrait busts of famous Berlin artists, scholars, politicians and rulers.
