Asset Overview
Cartridge found on the surface during archeological works. The ammunition (7.92 x 57 mm) comes from the company Sellier & Bellot of Czechoslovakia, year 1936.
This cartridge was found on the surface in a farmland so we cannot know for sure when it was used, although this area of Granada (Spain) had an important presence of troops during the war, and maquis several years later.
During the Spanish civil war, a lot of armament and ammunition were bought from different countries, such as Czechoslovakia.
The original size would be larger but its condition is not very good, as seen in the many scratches it presents.
